OneBlood Donor Center Renovation
Patient-facing facility renovation
Renovation of an active blood donor center within a BayCare-hosted facility, requiring careful coordination between two stakeholder organizations with distinct operational requirements. Scope included full interior renovation, door reconfigurations, finish replacements, and turnover ready for resumed donor operations.
The challenge
Mid-project, an originally-specified 42-inch door had to be reordered as a 48-inch door due to a swing conflict with an overhead soffit identified during installation. We caught it on a walk, flagged it, sourced and installed the correct door, and kept the schedule.
What it shows
Coordination across multiple stakeholders, willingness to flag and fix problems before they become bigger problems, and the ability to deliver a clean handover when the facility had a hard date for resumed operations.
